Default Getting Ubuntu 6 to read from OpenLDAP

Okay so the case is this, the network has two servers. One runs OS X 10.4 and is a login server running openLDAP (LDAP open directory). This handles all the user accounts for the network.

Now, we want to use a seperate server for files, and decided a PC running *nix would be great. This PC runs Ubuntu 6.02 and transfers files over NFS and AFP. We just need to connect this computer to the directory domain in order for it to grant users access to files depending on what username and password they can login from the directory.

I see, you have a Ubuntu PC and you want to connect that very PC in Open LDAP. Is there any sharing tabs like Windows or any sharing tools somehwere that once you get in, will have an option to share the mounted virtual drive?

Best bet in Linux is to use Samba and make the joints and settings off from there.
