Fullscreen game automatically minimizes to desktop (Battlefield 2142)

After playing about 5 - 15 minutes on any server the game automatically minimizes to the desktop. I cannot maximize it either because I have the game set to a custom resolution (it gets confused). I tried disabling my antivirus program (Norton AntiVirus) and I also got rid of even more startup programs and services (I already run a very clean computer). I don't know why it does this and I would really appreciate any help.

2 Gb Ram

200 Gb HD

128 Mb Intel HD2400 GC

Anyway, I hope that this isn't an uncommon problem. Personally I think that it has to do with some stupid windows setting, but I checked StickyKeys and all that crap. So... ya! Please help me!
