Not so really as Pale Moon has always walked away from controversial Firefox problems. Unlike Firefox it updates only a few times a year and is the basic Mozilla browser without all the goofiness. Sea Monkey is the other full Mozilla Browser and has always been completely independent of Firefox development with the exception they all use most of the same plugins.
