File problem (emergency)

Ok i recently downloaded game maker and an external game engine known as "hello engine" the file that I downloaded was not a game maker file, I right clicked it and pressed "open with" = "game maker" and now every File i download is a game maker file even if it's completely unrelated to game maker and every time I press the downloaded file it opens game maker! please help!

Do a system restore to back before you set the file type default program.

Thanks for the welcome , Yeah I did a system restore but it didn't change the files to their default setting and they remain game maker files, After the backup a dialog box siad "Your files were not affected during the backup" or something of that manor.

Try

Rightclick -> Properties -> "Tab": general -> Opens with: and choose the right program to open the file with. -> Apply
That should also save your settings.

Alternative: Try Deleting Game Maker, and when installing it again select which files it is associated with.
