Looking for insight on how to get my laptop that has Fedora 10 installed connected wirelessly to my network.

Everytime I think I have it set up correct and hit Activate, it doesn't work.

My adapter is an Intel Pro/Wireless 3945abg.

Hi,

Can you please open a terminal, then type: "lspci" w/o quotes. Then post the output.

Cheers!

Here you go, and if you don't mind me asking what that command is used for?

Hi,

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. About your first question. "lspci" lists all of the hardware that is connected to your computer with pci slots.

About your wireless, if you right click on your network manager, and them click on edit connections..., you will get a menu. This menu has some tabs: wired, wireless, mobile broadband, vpn, dsl. I am wondering what is listed under the wireless tab? This will help us figure out if you are finding anything.

Cheers!

I ended up uninstalling it and reinstalling XP. I am going to reinstall it under a Virtual PC and will post back the results then.

Sorry to hear that you gave up on it so fast. But good luck with it in Virtual PC.
