Keep in mind that Lord Kalthorn said earlier in the thread he never used Linux, so his thoughts on it are mostly invalid

Aesthetically superior? Haha.. In what way? The fact that almost all Windows desktops in the world have the same obnoxious blue and green color scheme? Heck. Windows doesn't even come with any alternative themes by default, unlike Win 98..

Whether they're all the same is of no consequence; that it is everywhere has no bearing on whether something looks good. The point I was making is that Windows XP be aesthetically Superior - and your point of the same Blue or Green is not even valid anyway; as anybody who wants a different style can easily, and if they have any resourcefulness for free, use any ThemeXP Style.

Which you cannot do with Windows 98

In that case it's unfair to compare Windows with GNU/Linux in the aesthetic area as GNU/Linux can look much better than Windows with themes. Not to mention that to get additional themes for Windows third party software is required. Unlike GNU/Linux which has built in theme program which installs themes easily.

Hmmm... there are some seriously good Windows Themes out there...

And the GUI generally is easier, and more naturally placed - it looks better, whatever look it has because the GUI is placed in a more physically attractive fashion.

Ah hahaha!

Anybody with knowledge enough to install Linux - is completely able with resourcefulness to not have to pay for StyleXP.
