Default explorer.exe - Application Error

There's something wrong with the computer. I cant open anything on 'My Computer' such as 'My Documents' or the hard drives. Everytime I double click it, it says:
The instruction at "0x77c47fd4" referenced memory at "0x006d006f". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

When and how did this start happening? Did you do anything beforehand?

And does it happen every time, or just every so often?

Hate to say it, but it could be Windows has become corrupted in some way. Reinstall may be the only option, what do other people think?

Formating may be your only choice, but first try running a scandisk (in safe mode if possible), as some processes in normal mode may just prevent it doing a really good scan.

Also try registry mechanic 4.0

good luck

well..., finally it's back to normal again.
I tried to repair the windows but still no good. Then I did a "system repair" which I rolled back a few days ago. And it worked, thank god i was so worried...
Thanks for the support anyway...!
