Default Excel Problems

I got a new laptop with Windows 7 about a month ago. I recently purchased the full version of Microsoft Office 2007 and everything except one thing is fine. When I open Excel and only Excel, an alert appears saying stdole32.tlb then the configuration install thing comes up and installs and configures some files before I can use Excel. This happens every time.

Well, I'm not saying Excel doesn't work...It just has to install and configure files before it opens.
