Default DVD's out of sync

Not quite sure where to post this, but here goes, I am currently looking through the net to try to find some old movies, I recently downloaded one BUT when I transferred it onto a DVD the sound ended up being out of sync.

I want to watch these DVD's on the large screen TV I have but because it's a reasonably early model it doesn't have connections for all these USB's etc etc.

Does anyone know of a way I can get the sound back in sync?????

If you're downloading DVDs from the internet, and are having sound sync issues, you're pirating and that's illegal.

PM me with the source of your files and if it's legitimate, I'll unlock the thread. Otherwise, please don't discuss piracy here.
