Default Dual monitor help

I want to extend my taskbar across both of my monitors. I have a 1920x1080 monitor as my main monitor, and a 1440x900 as my secondary. I know catalyst will let you set them as one big monitor, but it reduces the resolution of my primary monitor, which isn't acceptable. Are there any hacks or programs or anything that I can use to do this? I'm using windows7 by the way with the latest catalyst installed.

Im not the best on the subject, but I believe you have to have an ATI Eyefinity capable graphics card and directX 11.

I believe this is what you're looking for.
Humans are the only creatures that won't live up to the their potential. Give everything your all. When you die, die on E.

So I ask you, what do you intend to do now?

You could also use UltraMon, It is a free 30 day trial and you can set all of your backgrounds, and more as well as the taskbar.
