Dual booting with Vista...

Acer has a built in recover program that makes the disk for you if you run it. Or at the very least, they used to. Either way, It tends to wipe all of you drive and just bring back vista.

Check in your laptop's BIOS settings, if the hard drive controller is set to RAID there is a good chance that is your problem. Let us know before I go into more details.

I'm not goin to worry about it. Thanks for your guys' help though. The software I wanted to run doesn't work on vista but I found a replacment that does so I think I'm all set.
