Default Dual boot problem

Friends please help.i had xp in my C: drive and vista in my f: drive.but once working in xp i formatted f: drive.now the vista is removed but when booting up the computer it displays the name of vista in windows boot manager and i want to remove the name also.How can i?

  • Right Click My Computer icon on the Desktop
  • Select Properties
  • Click on the Advanced Tab
  • Click on Settings button under Startup and Recovery
  • click on the Edit button
  • The boot.ini file will open up in a text editor
  • Edit the following lines in it and Save it
  • Click on OK for the relevant buttons

[boot loader]
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOW S
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=alwaysoff /nopae /fastdetect

  • Restart the computer
Note : There is no space between the W and S of Windows spelling and also the same with Microsoft spelling

getting dual boot from dual drives never works well? any luck geting ubuntu/debian/windows vista x64/reactOS on 4 seperate drives working please PM me!
