Do I need a driver for this?

i have an acer aspire 6920g which has a volume touch pad. I just installed windows 7 and that is the only thing that isn't working. there are no drivers for it on the acer site although they had everything else.
the touchpad works, the lights still follow your finger but it doesn't change the volume anymore. Im thinking that theres actually a setting for this somewhere in windows? Or any info on a driver location?

There should be a driver for it. Do you know who manufactures your touchpad? Synaptics is one manufacturer as an example. Maybe there is a Windows Vista driver listed on the website. Most of the time, Vista drivers will work in Windows 7.
