Default Default program - can't change...

Hi,

I was making .html (webpage) files and they kept opening with Notepad, so I went to the "Choose default program" and unintentionally pressed on Windows Explorer. I can't seem to change it anymore. If I go to the "Choose default program" menu and select any program it will open that one time, but wont do it again. I can't even check the "Always use the selected program..." option.

I'm using a Windows 7 pc, if that helps at all...

Thanks...

Have a look through this - Change which programs Windows uses by default

I've tried that. Windows Explorer doesn't seem to be on that list.

I found a solution to my own problem...

Creative Element Power Tools program can change the program a file extension opens with...
Creative Element Power Tools
I just downloaded it, and changed the .html default open-er to IE. Solved.

(My "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is still grey but at least I can double click on it and it will open with IE)
