Default Data recovery

I tried creating a new partition of 50 gb on my hdd ( 146 gb) with paragon partition manager 9.0 on my windows vista business. However, the mains switched off and the operation was interrupted. I inserted the recovery cd and completed the operation. On restarting the system displayed the message "missing os". On starting the recovery cd, i saw that i have an unformatted partion drive of 96.4 gb ( on which my os was there originally) along with a newly created partition of 50 gb. I am not able to boot from the hdd. Any help.

Default Re: Data recovery

This is a tricky situation. At this point you might be able to get you data back with a software, i know for stuff like this my work uses a killdisk product.
Here are some of their recovery products.
Active@ Partition Recovery. Recover Deleted Partition. Undelete NTFS & FAT partitions.
Active@ File Recovery for Windows

But i think both are paid software, i don't know two many that are free that i would trust.
Core I7 920 OC'ed to 3.0Ghz, 6GB G.skill DDR3 1333, Intel DX58SO, 500GB seagate 7200RPM + 320GB seagate, EVGA 9800GTX+ , 600W PSU.
