That could be from the BSOD or the blue screen of death..your best bet is to run a couple of registry cleaners to fix any errors. i would say try out system mechanic and registry doctor. any of the trial ones won't fix all the errors until you but their full version.
also make a backup of the registry before having the program your using fix them, almost every registry cleaner will come with an option to back up the reg.
cleaning out the reg of old errors will fix alot of problems.
