I would like to set the priority level for adaware to 7 permanently in windows vista so when I run adaware from the command line it runs a little quicker. Is there a way to do this in vista so when it is only running it is at level 7 and adwatch is at the normal priority level. I know how to temporarily do it through taskmanager but not permanently.

Thanks,
Enigma

Create a .cmd file in notepad with the following text:
Start program.exe <set-priority-here-as-per-start /?>

To find the correct thing to type after program.exe, go start-run-cmd
Then type start /?

I hope I wrote that clearly enough.

Thank you just figured it out late last night doing the same thing. The only difference is I used the start command to open the gui interface for the program which is set to a higher priority through vista instead of it running as a background service.
