Default Configuration for Printer D110A

My D110A HP all in one will not configure for some reason. I have uninstalled and re installed numerous times. I have tried from the disk (version 14) and from HPs site using their driver download. The process goes all the way through except for the last step of configuration, just stays in that mode for about 5 min and times out. I thought maybe eset was preventing it form loading all the way and because of that I can't use the hp solution to scan. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Also give the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility a go and see if that picks up any thing HP Print and Scan Doctor | HP® Support.

Appreciate the replies, I says there something about the registry that's not right. Tried the USB cable but still can't get through the last stage of configuration. Thing is, it's worked on this system previously.
