Hello. I am becoming very frustrated with this problem. I have an HP Pavillion 550n desktop computer. It is infected with many viruses and is very slow, so I decided to go ahead and reformat it. My problem is this: I downloaded windows xp and put it on a disc(yes i know it's illegal but it was my only option). I then went in to the BIOS menu to boot up the disc at start. But the menu does not list my dvd drive, it only lists ATAPI cd drive and I cannot use this drive because it doesn't work for some reason. Even when I put the disc in either one of the drives the computer will not boot up the disc at start. Someone please help! I am 99.9% sure i burnt the disc right too. Any help or tips are appreciated! Thanks!
