Default clean install windows XP problem

Hi !
I've been trying to clean install windows XP and am coming up with this problem. I clean boot with cd no problem but as soon as i get to "licence agreement press F8 to accept" nothing happens . I tried to use that key for other work an stuff and the function works. Any idea on what i'm doing wrong? I'm using the xp cd that came with the computer and follow everything on the set up, up to that point. Thanks a lot for any input.

Have you got another XP Install CD to do it with? Then just use your own Code.

agreed, use the code off of the sleeve that the Windows
cd came in. if it still won't work, you can call the Microsoft support # and tell them you are having problems with the cd.

they should be able to give you a different code that will work, or if you already registered your copy of Windows.

they can help you though the process.

Yeah; Microsoft Support are great at that. It is after all a quarter of what you're paying for - might as well use it.
