Chipset help!

I have a DDR333 runing at the mo,i have windows 7 installed and seems to be running slow lately!also my flashcard is runing DirectX!
Does any1 know if i need a new chipset or Flashcard??or could i update my flash card?

So a couple of questions for you.

1. Is this an existing installation that has slowed over the months/years?

If so, a reinstallation of Windows would be my first pick here. Backup all your pertinent data and reinstall windows, which begs another question... Which version of Windows are you running?

2. Is this hardware that was recently added to your system?

If this is the case, then I would flash the BIOS to make sure that your computer has all the needed firmware updates. You can find the latest BIOS at the Motherboard manufacturer website.

You mentioned "Flashcard", what do you mean by flashcard? I r confuzed :S
