Hi Forum,
When i run a scheduled disk check on restart it appears to run smoothly, checking the 3 various stages. Once complete it lists the number of files in indexes, sectors etc. From this point onwards nothing happens. Rather than returning to windows it just freezes at this stage, meaning i have to forcefully restart the computer by holding the power button. When it restarts it gives me the option to cancel and i do so (before it didn't).
This seems like a rather mild issue, although recently i had this exact same problem with a larger hard drive which ended up with a corrupt MFT because the checkdisc froze. I do not wish the same thing to happen to this drive
When i then restart the computer it tries to perform the check disk again with the same result. Any ideas on what may be causing this problem?
