changing photoshop pics

my pics I made are in .psd format and I need to change it to something else. how do I?

open up the psd file in photosop, and then go to file>save as. in the drop down box labeled "format," select the format which you want to save the document as.

correct....just "save as" in a different format and give it a name different from the original.
If you want them to be in .jpg format from the start, you can click "save for web" also and that will let you save it as .jpg or .gif or any other format that it will save it as.

Is there an export feature also or am I getting confused with psp?
