Your technical skill might be unsurpassed but if nobody can understand what you post it doesn't matter.

Hi. I have been trying to install xp on my laptop but every time i either get an error during installation or a BSOD. I thought it was the windows disk so I tried vista and had the same problem. Again then I tried windows 7 but still the same problems. I then thought ok well I will try Linux and it installed and ran first time. Has anyone come across this before or is the laptop just allergic to windows ?
I suspect you may have a RAM problem. Linux requires a much smaller memory footprint than Windows so it's possible that when you install Linux you don't encounter the bad memory but when you attempt to install Windows you hit the bad memory location. I would try swapping memory modules, check that they are seated properly, etc...
