Question Can't delete a folder

I have a folder that I just can't do anything with. I had this happen before, I fixed it then by formating. Don't want to do that this time.

For some reason it thinks its in use or write protected. Any one know how I might be able to do this?

Nope some kind of error happens.
i'm runnin xp
my friend runs xp i've never herd him having this problem
wonder why it does this to me
read only is checked
Wait it says the folder is empty. Whats the deal with that there was 4.5 gig's in this folder.
I was making a backup and i had to move it from my desktop onto my hard drive C: so it wouldn't be backup. I don't know what else to tell you guys I think this is just a crappy problem with xp.

1.Don't need to defrag.
2.Already scan disked.
3.Ran Norton

Try to restart in safe mode

Also your sig should only be 5 lines

it doesnt say anywhere that your sig should be 5 lines.
its just common courtesy and a well accepted practice on these forums
and the mods enforce it usually

1.Tried restarting in safe mode and deleteing it doesn't work.
2.The file is not in use its been like this for several days and many shutdowns later.

Seen on similar post where I might have to do something to the reg.
Don't really want to go there since I don't know anything about the reg except if you make a mistake you have to format.
I have windows xp bible and it is supposed to tell you how to edit your reg but still don't think I want to do that.

---------------------------
Error Deleting File or Folder
---------------------------
Cannot remove folder video: Access is denied.

Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected
and that the file is not currently in use.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
Thats what happens when I try to delete it.

When I uncheck all the attributes and click ok it immediatley resests itself. Cannot undo the attributes no matter what
