Can't boot windows from HD

Any help would be great, Windows XP will not boot from HD, I had some problems getting it on the HD in the first place. had to turn off onboard audio and video and lan, to get it to copy to hard drive. Now it will not boot from Hd.

40Gb WD HD
Biostar socket 478, P4
256mb ram (PNY)
Liteone DVD rom

It will however boot from CD!

Check the BIOS settings ...
Make sure that all the connections to the hard drive are ok ... like the SATA

Yeah,might be the BIOS Things. Also try to remove the shadowing setting...
