Maybe you guys can help me figure this one out.
I got another monitor today and it hums when the brightness is turned down. So my idea was to leave it up and use software for brightness/contrast control instead. I cannot seem to change any color/brightness/contrast settings with software. I can see the change briefly, but then it reverts back. I suspect windows is trying to compensate and manage these settings for me.
I tried using the Nvidia Control Panel that comes with my video driver, as well as a couple freeware tools with same result. all drivers are up to date, i fiddled with the Color Management dialog in control panel, tried everything i could disable in there, but no change. Does anybody know of a way around this issue?
