Default Burning movies to DVDs

Hello peeps. What is the most compatible and effective way to burn videos as DVD movie discs. DivX and H.264 would be examples of the type of video files I'd be using. I'd also like to be able to choose audio languages and subtitles that are usually embedded in my videos.

I'm running Windows XP 64-bit. Any recommendations on software?

I wouldn't mind paying for something that works and does the job well.

What I do to get AVI and other videos to my tv is through my xbox 360 using Tversity

Another way to get Divx/avi to your tv is using a divx compatible dvd player.

If you want DVD>AVI the best program for this is Handbrake (Never had out of sync audio like I had with every other program)

Try this program out. I heard many good things about it. I don't know how well it will work with divX but let me know. Its called Convert X to DVD.

I use the free "Microsoft DVD" maker, I just use a AVI or WMV format. get a "DVD-R" cd and it will work on all players. I learned that one the hard way.
