Boot from CD, HELP

Im trying to install Windows Vista on my computer and and i put the cd in and i reboot my computer it starts up regulary with press DEL and F8 and i can access those so i know my keyboard works. then it says press any key to boot from CD. put when i press the buttons nothing happens my computer just starts up.

Why wont it boot from CD. I know my keyboard is working unless it just stops after the DEL and F8 part. any help would be great.

and who cares if its burned, it wont activate anyways if its burned.

its my dads hes a computer tech it worked on my sister and the keyboard isnt the problem

Hes asking if its a burned disc, coz it might have a problem reading it

is it a usb keyboard? on my old pc i can get to the bios and stuff but when it says press any key to boot from cd then the keyboard stops working till it gets to explorer.
