If you're video editing I'd use a Mac. But Sony Vegas is good I hear.

The only video editing software I've used is Adobe Premier Pro 1.5.

It was okay, took a while to get used to it though.

However, once you got the hang of it, you could do some pretty cool stuff.

If you're new to video editing then i suggest you get Ulead's VideoStudio. Pretty good and really easy to use. Once you get used to it, I would definately go for Sony Vegas.

There's Adobe AfterEffects, but it's ungodly expensive.

Aftereffects is not for cideo editing, as far as I know, its for animation, I use adobe premiere pro 1.5. I know there's a lot more cool things I could learn about it if I really spent some time, but its very nice, and it can do chroma key, sony vegas cant, as far as I know. Adobe elements is for video editing too I think, correct me if I'm wrong.
