Default Backing up files to DVD RW

Is there any freeware that will allow me to burn folders/files to DVD RW?

I've googled this and nothing constructive comes up.

Windows lets you.

Why do you need separate software?

Right click- send to DVD- burner/whatever yours is called.

Then go to the DVD burner in windows explorer, there will be a sidebar saying 'items are ready to burn to disk' then hit the burn button.

This is from memory as I am on mac, and I've been using flash drives for the last 2 years.

EDIT: Did it work?

Thanks for the help.

It didn't work and from what I've read XP Pro wont write to DVD without 3rd party software.

Ah well, back to the drawing board...

It works for me on xp mce.

I don't see why pro wouldn't.

I really don't know much about third party software for this, as the only one I have ever used is toast.

Does roxio support it maybe?
