Default Back up software

I have Vista Home Premium. I now have an external Hard Drive (WD My Book). I want to back up everything before I crash this thing. Vista Home Premium does not have this capability. What third party software would you suggest to back up this hunk of junk to my new external hard drive?

If you have another computer around, maybe Clonezilla?

Whatever you do, whatever backup software you use, get my toolbox and do everything on the list. PC Cleanup Toolbox
Backing up contaminated files can lead to issues later when you view them such as pictures or program files. Cross platform contamination is a real bitch to track down and straighten out. Clean up the files first, then back up.
