anyone know where this icon came from?

anyone know where the icon came from and what it does? and how to remove it. ..when i right click the icon, the only choices i have it open, explore, paste, and create shortcut..thanks..this is on a xp prof with all updates installed..thanks

What happens when you try and access it?

If you're on a corporate LAN, your admin might have installed it, I guess.

if i double click it, it jus opens up like if i were to click on the d drive or c drive except there's nothing in it. its empty. and yes i am on a corp LAN and out admin doesnt know what it is. BTW, i do alot of remote desktoping and have never seen that icon before.

nope, i dont use any type of instant messaging software
