Default anti-malware program?

I am looking for a good,free anit-malware anit-vir program that I can scan my pc for viruses and remove them with. I have never done stuff like that so ye I am new... Any help is very appreciated!

Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware download

I use that one a lot.

I use a combination of SpyBot+Malwarebytes and avast! to protect my PC. All of these have a free edition so you can give it a shot. I'm using this setup for more than a year now and I did not feel the need to upgrade to their Pro versions.

Malwarebytes is very good, I use it a lot
