Default Adobe Flash: which version?

Well, I knew it was likely that I wouldn't be able to update to the newest version of Adobe Flash since this comptuer isn't running on the newest Windows/IE, but I tried. Didn't work, tried the trouble shooting page.

I figure I need to go back to an older version of Flash that is compatible with:

Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7

(Yes, I know, don't need to be told to upgrade IE)

But I don't know which older version to go with. Adobe has a list here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player...-versions.html

Under Flash Player archives but doesn't give the specifics for them.

If it makes any difference, the current version installed on this computer:
Adobe Flash Player 11 Active X (11.7.700.224)

Anybody know which is the closet version I can update to with the system described above?

That doesn't help because the current version installed on this computer is already running.

I suspect Adobe Flash 11 is the latest you can have on that system. It'll just have to be a case of working your way up through each version and seeing which one goes on. Try version 12, if that works, try version 13 etc

Since I couldn't get an answer on it, I've tried out joedaman633 suggestion. I've upgraded to 12 and when I have time I'll keep going up one until it doesn't work.
