2 local disks?

my mom has an old viao and she has a local disk C and D drive, The C drive is the regular one and its only like 15GB but then the D drive witch has nothing on it is 40GB. is there any way to put them together or something? i know some people use the D drive for back up but its completely empty and over twice and much space.

oh and idk where this thread is supposed to go so srry if i put it in the wrong place.

Hi, (this wont work with win xp home) if you go to start > right click my computer > manage then go to disk managment > local storage (think thats right) you should get some drives come up right click D drive and click > delete partition then right click C drive and click extend drive. Good Luck!
