Well...the applications are optional. You don't have to have them. I don't have any besides the video one.
It's really good for sharing photos. And if you have any friends that have moved away, it's good for keeping in touch.

The applications platform really killed Facebook. All the people in my class have 2500 apps on their page making it take 2 minutes to load. >.<

I hate how I get 'invitations' to use the new applications over and over again. I only use 'Groups', 'Events', and 'Videos'.
I swear if i get one more Pirates vs. Ninjas invitation I'm going to lose it. I decline it over and over again and everyday I have more.
