They pretty much ditched Triton and now it's just AIM 6. AIM 6 is great for me. Only uses 20,000 kB memory...0% CPU.

yup on 5.9. I just switched to 6.1 last night, and no problems soo far. 5.9 sucked, it would crash the moment 3 convos were open for me.

I haven't tried AIM 6 yet. Pidgin uses 7MB memory and 0-1% CPU.

Windows Live Messenger wasn't bad either, but not too many of my friends use it, so no point.

aim sucks. It's AOL, that's enough of a reason for me not to use it. I prefer windows live messenger and yahoo.

Haha, AIM is probably the only AOL service I would ever use. Eh, if more of my friends used Windows Live or Yahoo!, I wouldn't mind switching over to either.

Most of the people around here don't know what AIM is, but everyone has MSN.

Yeah, MSN is very common in Canada. AIM is used widely in the US.
