gaims for linux isnt it? i sware i downloaded that for ubuntu and its just an msn clone

It's for both Unix and Windows. It works with basically all IM clients now I think:

Yeah, it's pretty good. I use AIM 6.0, and don't really like it too much.

I used it but I didn't like it all that well either. For the most part I use Meebo, www.meebo.com it runs inside a browser.

i used to have lots of im software but and uninstalled them and just kept windows live messenger 8 ifyou have a slow pc then msn 7.5 is good, i didn't get any viruses with yahoo but my antvirus software kept closeing it

I've always used AIM, except when I experimented with Trillian a few years ago. I'm not a fan of the new AIM versions though. I stick with AIM v5.9!
