Having trouble with DeadAim interface

As you can see, the icons on the orginial aim, like away message and setup (icon with + and --) are showing up randomly on the buddy list

dead aim version - 4.5
aim - 5.9

Anyone know how to get rid of these, trying to look for a cleaner interface
