Aim hasn't been connecting for 4 days. My internet connection is working fine but every time I try to log in it says "AIM service cannot be reached" I have AIM 5.9 please help!

I suppose you could go for the update to 6.0, if you don't want to do that, then you could remove 5.9, and get another copy of it from Oldversion:

System Restore would fix the problem.
Buuuuut, I suppose you could try completely deleting all of your stuff from AIM/AOL from: Add/Remove Programs with windows explorer, from C:\ and from the registry. -Sam |

You should try getting Pidgin. http://pidgin.im/pidgin/home/. This was formally known as Giam. Download the software and you will be able to use aim, or any other messege software. Also it has IRC's!

This is an old thread. I think it's safe to assume the problem has been solved. Closed.
