AIM 6.5 ( Windows) Opening Issues
Recently i have encountered a problem with aim. Not only did it happen with my old version but now it happens with the new one. When i try to open it, what is supposed to apper flickers on my screen and other than that nothing happens. AIM has worked before on my computer and i have not had problems like this before. All support is appreciated thank you.

Have you scanned your comptuer for viruses?

try installing ver. 5.9. sometimes 6.x doesnt work on all machines, mine has crapped out before and i had to switch back to 5.9, but after a while it would just start working (after a week or so). idk, its weird, damn you aol.

yea 5.9 IMO is the best because its a low resource, no fancy gui and gets the job done. OR go ahead and check out a program like trillian or something

I personally use Pidgin which is an open source instant messaging client and, while it isn't as aesthetically pleasing as Trillian using the default skin, it has as much functionality as Trillian Pro, it loads MUCH faster, and it's free.
Give that a shot if all else fails. Ian EDIT- Did I mention it's platform independent as well? |
