Yeah, standard definition for standard definition videos and widescreen/HD for widescreen/HD videos.

i only know cos i was reading that some whining bitches had been whinging that they changed it to wide screen and now all the standard def vids play with big black lines all around and im like wtf you can never keep some peope ahappy

Maybe they should make an option when you upload a video to choose a 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio for that particular video.

Same thing I was wondering, but then then the widescreen feature might not be as widely advertised if the viewers never saw the player aspect ratio change. It would be awhile still before the widescreen videos get uploaded and abundant if not for the aspect ratio change of the 4:3 videos.

If you embeded a video, and the size of the SWF changed, then it could break your design..
