I remembered that the oldest PC was apparantly a:

550KHZ-1MHZ CPU
bigger than a 5 1/4 floppy drive
5-10Mbytes HDD EXTERNAL ONLY. (Had to be bought)
16Kbytes memory
6" screen intergrated
Intergrated keyboard
OS: startable by diskette, printing, startable by diskette

Use for today: filling drawers, garbage goodies, museum of PC]

There's also the older ones:

Well it is said computers can PHYSICALLY WORK for 10 years or so. Soyou still got about 3 years useage on it if you got it in 98. But I doubt it'll do ya any good nowadays.

I beg to differ, my AM386 still boots, and it is 17 years old now. It runs Windows 3.11 very slowly! It still posts with 0 ERRORS though. The RS1 silicon used back then on the 300nm scale was durable!
