Well, I some sort remembered that we bought a very old com before. My dad used to tell me that the specs were:

AES Pc
8080
6MHZ CPU
128Kbytes of RAM
1 5 1/4Floppy drive
10Mbytes HDD
CGA monitor
Black/Green display
No mouse

OS: DOS 1.0
 
I remembered that the oldest PC was apparantly a:

550KHZ-1MHZ CPU
bigger than a 5 1/4 floppy drive
5-10Mbytes HDD EXTERNAL ONLY. (Had to be bought)
16Kbytes memory
6" screen intergrated
Intergrated keyboard
OS: startable by diskette, printing, startable by diskette

Use for today: filling drawers, garbage goodies, museum of PC]

My first computer was a win 98 with 33mb ram and 1gb hard drive i dont even know what else was in it...i still got it matter of fact packed away under my bed...it was and still is very reliable
 
Well it is said computers can PHYSICALLY WORK for 10 years or so. Soyou still got about 3 years useage on it if you got it in 98. But I doubt it'll do ya any good nowadays.

I beg to differ, my AM386 still boots, and it is 17 years old now. It runs Windows 3.11 very slowly! It still posts with 0 ERRORS though. The RS1 silicon used back then on the 300nm scale was durable! :D
 
WOW. You know I really think I could use a second computer VERY CHEAP. Hrm going go design it :)
