Now that Valve and STEAM Support the Mac platform hopefully bigger developers such as EA,Activision,etc,etc follow suite!

Well I would imagine that valve would be willing to give it out if a huge community project arose to port it to linux. But if thry are doing it themselves, that's fine too.

Steam being on these two platforms will really open the PC gaming market in a healthy way I think.

Pretty much all ID software is already on Mac OS X and Linux. They use OpenGl. The game paks are portable. I'd be surprised if they had something that didn't already support *nix.
