You dont have to give the cable back you know. They arent gonnna hunt you down or anything. They dont expect even 5% of the people to do the recall.

Its just so they have legal standing if your house is burnt down due to the cable.

I personally would say screw it and take my chances.

Send the Cable back - wait for the new one with a cable brought from the store Then use the new one once it comes.

Really? Oh...I haven't had any problems with mine. Is it power cables manufactured within a period of time? or was it ALL the cables from the very first Xbox to now?

Hmmm... I don't know. Its probably a specific batch but I doubt the chances are high of something happening anyway. Its worth a check though.
