It's not just WMP 11... I just looked and some of my albums are split into multiple albums with WMP 10 as well! (definity not Beta!).
these are albums ripped from the same CD, with the same rippnig software at the same time, (yes I do own the CD so it's not like it's dodgy downloaded copy.).

I just checked and the reason the album is split into different albums on my PC was that the album artist information was missing (right click the track, select Advanced Tag Editor.
Select the Album Tab and ensure ALL fields are filled the same, (as I said I'm a little in the dark as to what went wrong as I coppied the albummyself, I can only assume that the track info (from freedb.org as connected to by the riping softwaer) contains some errors.
