Benchtest is a pretty common term actually.. we do it at work frequently to check motherboards.

You just have the essentials. Motherboard, ram, CPU and PSU. It helps eliminate any other possible issues and brings you down to the guts.

So, #1 I understand. But #2 is a slap in the face, IMO.

Tell them to quit jerking your chain and replace the motherboard or you'll report them to the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau.
