Default Windows 7 now installed

Well, now running Windows 7

Had some inital problems with updates; mainly the Net 3.5 update, which installed but then thought it hadn't.
Hopefully I won't get another crash like I have done once for a while causing my RAID 1 to rebuild again, because its taking a lot longer with my 2 new 1TB drives

All seems to be smoother now though. I prefer the look, and I really like the speed of startup & even shutdown.

Takes around 5 seconds to start up to my login from when I first see the start up message

Experience rating of 5.5 due apparently to my RAM being only 2GB at the moment.
My next lowest is my HD's at 5.9.
My highest being my processor at 7.1.
I know that means nothing, but there you go

yeah dont mind what WEI says, its a pretty terrible benchmark. Something like SiSoft Sandra would be better if you're into that sort of thing.

glad you enjoying your new OS (:

Nah, not really that bothered. I know it's fast

It's 64 bit now though (my first) so I plan to get more RAM in the coming months

heh, i like benchmarking because i get to watch my Phenom put my friend's i5 to shame

i've never really had a use for more than 4GB even on x64 OS, i play black ops/MW2 and the like on here with 4GB no problem ^_^

Yeah, I think I'll get around 8GB, mainly because I do a lot of 3D rendering that really does eat memory.

Ah.. I'll run it...

benchmarks and at the same time measures components in a similar fashion to WEI but in alot more detail. stuff like processor threads /second and the like.

35.46GFLOPS arithmatic performance,

The HD one confused me. Its meant to have a 64MB cache, and have a rotational speed of 7200RPM, but it says 32MB & 5400RPM.
There are two drives running in RAID 1. Could have confused it I guess?

Meh

Doesn't seem to know anything though. For example, I'm not running Windows 7 Ultimate. It is Windows 7 Professional, haha.
I also do not have an X-FI Fatality. It is an X-FI Extreme Music...

Erm...
